The Dehkhoda Dictionary is the title of a book whose printing began in 1325 AH in the Majles Teahouse and was completed after thirty-four years in January of this year (1359). Without a doubt, this book is the largest and most complete Persian dictionary ever compiled. The dictionary is printed in twenty-six thousand five hundred and seventy-five pages in a three-column format with 12-point letters. This book contains two hundred thousand main words, approximately six hundred thousand combinations, nearly eighty thousand personal and geographical declarations, and four hundred to five hundred thousand poetic and prose evidence for the meaning of words and combinations.
