Today, the Persian language is not unknown in Sweden, with about seventy thousand Iranian immigrants. The pleasant melody of this language can be heard everywhere. Even before the widespread immigration of Iranians to Sweden, the people of Sweden were familiar with the Persian language and its glorious literary works. The travelogues of Swedish travelers and Erik Hermelin's translations of Persian mystical works into Swedish, as well as orientalists, played an effective role in familiarizing the people of Sweden with the Persian language, literature, and Iranian culture. In this article, after a brief report on Sweden, especially the city of Uppsala, the history of its structure and various departments, the history of Iranology and the great Iranologists of Sund are discussed. After a brief review of the history of the Iranian Languages Department and its great professors and Iranologists and their works, the Persian language teaching program at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels, theses, journals and publications affiliated with this department are described.
